ridin' bikes.

the kids learned how to do it two-wheeled!!
thanks to a pair of new bikes, a wrench (naturally),
and the patience of jess,
as well as some controlled seething fury from the papa bear,
we made some maturity-type moves happen.
an important big-kid first,
a once-you-know-how-you-never-forget one, too.
courtesy of the woodsly goodness.

in well under one afternoon,
the pedal-powered princesses were spectacularly spinning their spokes.
confidence, and some fancy helmets played a small supporting role as well.
pride and joy, ninjas.
i'm tellin' ya'll,
that stuff is molto applicable today.

we celebrated with some lunch at 'the chef's market',
and the rest of my m-4 5.56mm gun parts came in, too.
like my man ice cube says:
today was a good day.
especially because i blend seamlessly from foliage green to flat dark earth.
gun nuts know what i'm sayin'.....

consistently contented.
that's hot these visits from the sparkle-magic sisters go.
and you know the rest:
nature is eating itself,
rain fell for a bit, as always,
and now it's early evening,
and we've got just-baked cinnamon buns wafting and coolin' off,
waiting hopefully for the caress of the confectioner's drizzle,
the all-important finishing touch.
you all already know i add nutmeg, allspice and ginger to my cinnamon stuffin',
because too much is the right amount.
my life is so SO flavorful, kids,
thanks in part to an overabundance of spices.

and so it goes,
all the way to eleven, b!tches,
never quiet, never soft...
