white chocolate cupcakes?
to say the least.

because new year's day is always better with cups of cake for your face.
and is there chocolate pudding-style cream filling in the core of each one?
yessir.
that's just a little something soft and silky to surprise your tongue with.
uh-huh.
because i'm like that.
and what do you think about those two kinds of frosting?
oh, c'mon, now, neighbors.
you like it.
i know you do.
i mean, after all,
it's a new year.
and we can't start it off with only one kind of whipped wonderfulfilling frosting.
can we?
definitely not, neighbors.
.......duh.
so,
we do it proper, we do it the most, we do it to death.
and we do up a double dose of double-fudgy chocolate jauns,
and then we freak it off with contrasting creamchee' vanilla supercreme, too.
the chocolate is so smooth, and rich,
the vanilla is so pronounced and the texture is so definitively soft.
woooooooooooord.
now,
that's a whole lot poppin' off in one package,
but is it enough?
no.
not even kinda.
stop it.
good enough is NEVER enough.
too much, however, is the right amount.
so,
we also had to have ourselves some black&white cookie dust sprankles.
and that brings 'em up to the right power rating.
because if what you've got doesn't go to eleven,
then you clearly aren't doing it right.

of course,
we've got it going on,
and we're getting it going farther, further, and more ferociously while we're at it.
today is the day.
and it's a big day.
a berfday, even.
baby new year is here, a squalling, squealing bundle of joy,
and we're welcoming it with sugar, sugar, and a little more sugar.
there was enough bitterness before we even began,
so we're tempering it with toothsome tasty treats,
and balancing the scales from the very first few bites.
it's all really happening,
right now,
and that's the whole point;
never quiet, never soft.....
