BIG

waffles?
always.
oatmeal?
whenever possible.
both at once?
man, don't threaten me with a good time.
ha.
check it:

WOW!
blueberry maple syrup is in full effect.
also,
oats and a little baby bit of crushed coconut, and lots of love,
all together to make some expert vegan magic breakfast heroism.
mmmmmmmmmm.
i had a cup of frozen bloobs, and a quarter a cup of maple syrup,
and a spoonful of vanilla,
and i simmered that all up to soften the fruits and infuse the flavor
with all that real new hampshire supermagical hottness.
oh, and of course, i had to hit 'em with powdery sugary sprankles.
i mean, c'mon.
i'm not a loser,
i'm a waffle man, man.
yum.
how about those roasty potatoes?
man, they are ALWAYS the big action,
and with those blackened baby grape tomato jauns?
daaaaaaaaamn. smoky paprika, GPOP, red onion, and olive oil,
post-roast, with a couple parsley spranks.
yeah, boi.
i got the little exxxtras on top to feel like i'm fancy.
what?
those beige circles?
ok.
y'got me-
those are store sausages.
yeah.
vegan store sausages.
i'm guilty.
i ate 'em.
also, they were good.
shut up.
*
there's somethin' about waffles.
like, why are dented crisp pancakes so flippin' rad?
seriously.
i had whole manly oats in there...
that's what i need more of.
the recipe?
-
*
DENTCAKES!
-
heat up that iron, neighbors-
and melt 3 T of vegan butter.
in a mixin' bowl, combine:
1/4 cup whole oats;
1/2 cup king arthur flour;
1/4 tsp salt;
3 T sugar;
3 T ground coconut;
1/4 cup oat flour;
1 tsp baking soda;
1 tsp baking powder;
2 T vegan sour creme;
2 T coconut yogurt;
1 cup s'milk;
1 tsp vanilla.
and that hot wet butterishness.
-
that's IT.
easy.
stir it up, rest the whole thing, and scoopel some into your iron, kid.
tight.
waffles are even easier than pancakes.
the wafflemaker does all the hard part.
no flips.
just dents.
i'm with it.
-
breakfast is served.
i ate too much, but that's cool.
too much is the right amount.
yep.
***********
now i'm making cinnamon buns.
yep.
i mean, it IS the first day.
...and that's what we do.
obvi.
rules is rules.
i do a few things all the time.
i'm thinking about doing one new thing for the next thirty days,
starting tomorrow.
yep.
no refined sugar.
can i do it?
i don't actually know.
i have a legit problem.
i LOVE the sugs, man.
and i gotta maybe cut it out.
maybe if i have less of it for a minute,
i wont like it the most by the time june rolls around.
i guess we'll find out,
AFTER the cinnamon rolls, though.
i still need the big goodness today.
so,
we'll see how sweet the sweet is once it's all bitter all the time;
never quiet, never soft.....
