that's right, i did.
for necessities.
and by necessities, i mean, hallowe'en stuffs for my kids and i.
it is verrrrry necessary to have the most expert ingredients
when you're making the most expert stuff.
the thing is,
then you gotta get busy with all those bits.
that means staying up,
and gettin' fresh.
and being makey and crafty and fun,
which is a triple-threat of determined distraction-proof deeds...
and it also means making a giant mess in the few spots there isn't one already.
and in addition to that?
oh, yes, neighbors-
it means doing at least four things at once.
which is great, in theory,
but that means each hand has to do two things at once....
and at that point, it isn't even manual dexterity happening-
it's conjuration and prestidigitation.
jeez.
also,
that many projects concurrently channeling the spirits, memories, thoughts,
intentions and imagination of one worthy warrior poet embodying those
woodsly goodsly hallowe'eny geists and geas,
and the added-on introspective invectives towards more and better modes
and models of characterization, customization, and costumed buffoonery
makes it hard to maintain the pace required to finish by the 31st.
especially when little details are bogging me way down.
the thing of it is-
i can't stand the minor mistakes and small discrepancies i've already created,
so there's no way i can allow the extras and the bonuses and the accents
to go unfinished and un-activated.
i need the little distractions to improve the big action,
and draw the eye of those esteemed professional appreciators
who know about what's good.
because good is good, and bad is everything else.
therefore,
the overwhelming onslaught of cool has to outweigh the scrapes, dings,
and goddamned hot glue blops that have occurred along the way.
ugh.
also,
i finished a few extra medals.
i don't even know where i'll put 'em.
there's no room on anything for that sh!t.
but,
too much is the right amount,..
and there isn't any good reason not to keep creating, really, now is there?
no way.
so,
check the more-seasonally-specific-than-the-last-ones-type teleport:
yup.
a lot of words leading up to a picture of four cool medals,
awarded for four acts of distinction
by four unnamed unknown kingdoms or baronies or whatever.
i doo-doo that D&D/RPG world-building immersion-style sh!t.
i can't/won't stop, either.
i'll say it again, for posterity-
nerd business is MY business.
that's it;
never quiet, never soft.....
