in observance of the day dedicated to senor cristobal colon,
we had Indian food last night...
and we most certainly opened up a new trade route,
....to the bathroom.
the bowl is NOT flat, it's round, son.
-and in a completely ironic way,
the whole place was FULL of Indians.
and not a single headdress or dreamcatcher in sight.
but really,
for a small town in northern new hampshire,
leaf-peepin' season brings up all the diversity for the whole year.
shalimar, my ninjas, is where the super-delicious hot hottness gets heated.
and i guess everybody else heard about that, and showed up.
fortunately, our buddies at the restaurant made a special space for us to eat,
and we didn't have to wait twenty minutes like everyone else.
we love to eat there, and i think they love that we love to eat there;
gratitude and generosity, ya'll.
a reciprocating cycle that works wonders in the woodsly goodness.
we figured out an ages-old question:
what do Indian folks eat when visiting in new england?
the same stuff they eat everywhere else!!!
c'mon, don't be dumb.
familiar food is always comforting in a strange place.
and north conway is as super-strange a place as you could want..
i mean, i suppose if i were a typical american a-hole tourist,
and not a berserker barbarian battle-beast from the northeast,
i'd go to mcdonald's in paris, or whatever, too, right?
but really, dudes could've got a pizza or somethin',
instead of linin' up outside....(it gets cold at night up here)
the place was packed with a never-ending stream of hungry people,
and we seriously waded balls-deep into a cumin conflagration.
a lot of blue-toothed earpieces in the crowd, ya'll.
tech support never sleeps, b!tches....
(yeah, i'm an atypical a-hole, but i'm still an a-hole, y'know?)
and fortunately, unlike my curried culinary adventures in minneapolis,
no parents were threatened with bodily harm.
after dinner, it was dungeon mastery time,
and i read myself to sleep with halflings and elves....
that's how we got busy on october 12th.
aloo mutter, mutha-ucka....
f*ing awesome!
tonight jimmie and jenny will be here!!!
a special trip from our philadelphia-area peoples is always a welcome happening.
talk about active participants, yo.
these cats never play the wall, at all.
P.F.D.'s are designated to deliver delights for all involved...
really real ones driving up to the mountains for big fun,
that's what's poppin'.
my weekend begins in 8 hours,
never quiet, never soft...
