the get-busy soundtrack to the sweet,

today is the day.
the first day of summer.
the official start of ice cream, flip-flops, frisbee,
beach blanket and vacation season!!
happy summer, friends.
we can all only hope it will be better than spring was.
i mean,
it would almost have to be.
but then again,
i'm constantly amazed at the capacity for worsening
that the secret universal plan seems possessed of.

oh, whatever.
it may be time for the boys of summer to do their thing.
it may be time for the b!tches of the world to get half-naked
and strut their stuff.
it may be the best part, or the worst part,
or even just the next part.
