Friday, November 25

stay black, friday!

while you and i were sleeping,
the wifey, harvest, and maple
were getting involved in some things.
4 a.m. friday, duders.
yep.
it's not just for AVAIL anymore, i guess.
the womenfolk of this Fortress
were up, at 'em, and on the road-
working the angles on some black operations, y'all.
XI-mas shopping?
not quite, kids.
but still first in line,
and foremost in spitefulness.
that's a thing, too.
on the ones,
if and when you need a new washing machine,
and a brandy-spankin' new clothes dryer,
because yours have sh!t the bed suddenly and completely,
and somebody is offering the super-hottness
at less than 1/3rd of the normal price,
BUT there's only one available,
and it gets gotten by whomever arrives earliest?
then you don't sleep, suckas.
you wake up and activate,
with aggressive retail purchasing power,
and a side order of contempt
for the 'buy nothing day' weak sauce.
well before the break of dawn, my ninjas,
these triumphant commercial competitors
crept off with some epic black friday deals.
capitalist consumerism is rampant up here.
which is okay with me,
because my early birds won the worm.
in a few days,
my laundry will be cleaner, drier, and better-off
for the efforts made by my victorious valkyries today.
cultivated coincidences, kids.
we need, they have, we get.
blacktivation of all friday-related nutrients, for certain.
*
ohhhh, man!
when was the last time i did a tattbomb?
i'm pretty sure it was last saturday.
huh?
yeah,
that sure does seem like a hard style.
once again: november, neighbors.
those movie checks are catching wreck, in full effect.
ouch.
just when the appliance-related euphoria is at it's acme,
a hot wet mess of What Is kept the elation to a minimum.
november is a dirty b!tch.
if it can't F* you at the drive-through,
it F*s you at the sit-down.
it was buy nothing day for me, y'all,
whether i liked it or not.
yesterday was an epic success.
today was a sh!t-hot mess.
real life, y'heard?
without the bitter,
the sweet's just not as sweet.
it all happens,
in varying degrees,
through various and sundry decrees.
black friday was pretty dark, indeed;
never quiet, never soft.....
