hey, neighbors!
i like walnuts.
yeah.
i do.
they're a little bit bitter, for sure,
but they're so dang good,
and supposedly good for you, too.
that's a nice bonus,
especially considering that they're reported to be great
for encouraging inferential reasoning in our brains.
i mean,
i think it's pretty cool that they're shaped kind of like brains,
and they activate all the most expert brainwaves?
yup.
y'gotta huck those nuts in some cake, then,
and really get all the goodness going off on a delicious tangent
of double-nutty cakey vitamin-rich magic!
anyway,
i used them in my most recent treat-making bake-off,
and i think they added that little somethin'-somethin'-exxxtra
that really brought the flavors and textures up to a full-blown
professionally appreciable tier of tastiness.
that's no joke.
check the coffee-cake-type-teleport:
wooooohoooo!
coconut palm sugar, and home-ground coconut flake flour,
with oatmeal in there as well?
yes!
soy yogurt and soymilk, for double-action dense-and-moist activation,
and those flippin' walnuts,
gettin' all kinds of adult inside that rich morning cake jauns.
mmmmmmmm.
and instead of streusel,
i opted for coconut sprankles on top...
but when it was done baking?
damn, duders, but it looked a little bit lackluster.
i can't hang out with a boring beige biscuit, y'know?
real talk.
so i went ahead and took breakfast to a candy-coated sugary place.
i did.
it got freaked off with an asymmetrical frosting hookup,
and that helped it a whole lot, in all the ways.
word..
chocolate frosting from the cookie-cake the other day found new life on
this tasty new heavy-duty morning glory...
and fresh new coconut jammers too.
that stuff is what's up, y'all.
coconut creme and coconut oil and ground coconut flour,
with all the other other usual frosting ingredients.
boom boom boom,
there's nothing like a decadent slice of hearty cake, frosted and fresh.
i do what i do, and i do it often.
what else even is there?
.....art, maybe?
like, non-ingestible art, i mean.
maybe.
there are a few new ideas kicking around in my walnut about that, too.
mmhmm.
i gotta make stuff.
i can't avoid it,
i certainly can't help it,
it's IN there.
i think that's why i cook so much.
i get out the creative impulse,
and then i stuff it right back in.
art destroys itself,
art eats itself,
and i'll tell you something, guys-
i'd rather eat cake than paint markers.
huh?
ew.
i know it's a metaphor.
jeez.
go easy.-
there's an awful lot of awfully awful making, baking, taking, and raking these days,
but never ever ever faking.
nope.
it's ALL really happening.
no use pretending,
there'll only be even more of it tomorrow;
never quiet, never soft.....
