so dope.

traffic jammie-jams,
a half-day workday,
road snacks,
and a special operations rescue mission.
yep.
the eagle has landed, neighbors.
me and the cucchie took to the asphalt,
and sped across miles and miles and miles of highway,
down to the weakness and the sauciness
of massholechussetts.
the damsels in distress needed grabbing,
and we answered the call.
a harrowing haul through slower-than-molasses motorists,
a couple of near-misses and brakelight blowouts,
and a last-minute tradeoff got the job done...
duders,
we GOT they!!!
harvest and maple are here.
back home in the woodsly goodness.
that is expert.
and that is a fact.
me and my copilot did what needed doo-dooing.
and now this is happening:
a nine-day vacation with the whole dang family, son!
family dinners,
movie nights,
day trips,
easterly easter excellence,
and fuego-a-go-go.
hot fire and fresh funtimes and epic togetherness.
and all after a six-hour tour of the interstate system.
that's a double-gilligan, ninjas.
was there a dead porcupine in the breakdown lane?
uh-huh.
two living, healthy, happy deer grazing all amazing-like?
yup.
how 'bout a carful of singalong sirens?
piebald IS car music, y'all.
***********
peter max inspired tattoos,
homecooked supper waiting on the stove for us,
a newly-repaired series of home amendments,
and a few joe-joes for good measure.
this life, with these people, all the time.
it's happening.
and i am grateful for the events as they unfold;
never quiet, never soft.....
