Wednesday, July 13

home alone.

where is everybody?
for real,
it's a lonely old house up here.
just me and the wifey,
and a big dumb white dog.
we rode all over the dang land, y'all.
roving roamers an' that,
with a livery service style to our travels.
we brought the kids to asscrackachussetts.
we went and saw our buddy abby,
and her uber-cute itty bitty baby willa in eliot, maine.
we even did a little home goods supply shopping,
and munched up on vegan treats in portsmouth.
and after all that, ten hours later,
we're home again in the woodsly goodness.
that's how road warrior poetry gets crackin',
leaving out the whack of that kerouac crap, too.
home again home again, jiggety-jig, neighbors.
days off, over and done.
whole days, over and out.
we're here,
and we've got extra room for a while,
so where are you duders?
the Folk Life & Liberty Fortress is hiring Fusiliers, friends.
so get ready, and get up here;
never quiet, never soft.....
