we meant it.
rabbity-babbity blabbity-blah.
good luck for thirty days of alright.
good lucky goodbyes, more like.
holly bounced back yesterday-
back to wet, warbley, waterbaby world.
good times were had, for sure,
but those yesterdays get even harder today-
it's the final full-family morning
for the rest of us to hang out for a minute, too.
it's all drawing room meets breakfast time.
countdown cookoff quality times, y'all;
my darling dainty daughterly dopenesses depart.
today.
in a few hours, even.
and that's that weak sauce.
-
did we take an extra day on either side of an already long weekend?
you betcha.
is it anywhere near long enough?
you already know the answer.
too much of a good thing is no such thing.
never quiet, never soft, never enough time.
so after constant funtimes,
fires, foodstuffs, baked goods, bug bites, swimsuits, and everything else.
it's on pause again,
until the next time.
cucch is fueling us up for the long ride with somethin' super-special.
here's a hint:
they get real-deal new hampshire maple syrup on top.
uh-huh.
we need them jauns for support.
it's all happened already,
and it doesn't show many signs of slowing down, either.
real life.
real real.
***********
so it's the halfway point of 2010.
already.
c'mon.
this calendar year is clearly trying to F* with our A*s.
june?
today?!
what happened to may?
for that matter,
where did winter and spring go?
6-1. in height and date,
standing tall and flippin' pages,
warrior poetry and woodsly spirits,
it's all poppin' off on the ones.
the kalens, b!tch-muthas.
today is the day.
all day.
in the city,
in the woods,
on the honky-konkin' road.
that's where we'll be,
and it's where we're at.
another 'nother other excellent vacationary station;
never quiet, never soft.....
