Sunday, July 11

the eleventh.

always lucky,
is the eleventh of every month.
today's no obvious exception.
it's my ma-in-law's berfday, too.
( i baked another 'nother super-sz'huan cake.)
wait up a second....
sz'huan?
yeah.
pronounced shwahn.
derived from szechuan,
which in addition to being a region and cooking style of china,
is also hamden warrior shorthand for both regular and homo
sexuality and/or sexiness.
huh?
yeah.
it's a thing.
sometimes,
the idea of dead birds and chimneys being so sexy
just isn't covered by appropriate vernacular-
especially when it has nothing to do with reproduction,
but rather a tingly sense of super-hottness everywhere
except the ugly bits...
my new bathroom sink?
sz'huan.
the new garden?
super-sz'huan.
you get it.
and sometimes a semi-coded reference to preference
is also the more tactful route.
especially if the object of speculation
ISN'T living out loud and proud, i mean.
in that instance, however, a soft Ss hiss is imperative
to distinguish onefrom the other.
sessh-shwaan
here's an example. check it:
is that situation 'omo-szechuan?
sounds like a menu question, right?
and in a way, it so is.
those new toe shoes?
szechuan.
yoga pants?
clearly szechuan.
there's subtle distinctions,
but we're speaking a very nuanced inflective english here.
maybe even english-ish.
almost, but not quite, an' that.
szechuan.
never ever said 'zit-chwaan',
or whatever culturally correct pronunciation calls for.
unless we're in asia or an asian restaurant.
...the dialect of dopeness takes precedence, my ninjas,
in almost each and every scenario...
in a sense, it's very nearly the worst-case scenario every time.
and since we rarely find uses, in common competent conversation,
for UN-abbrev'ed words, (c'mon)
it's been shortened to just sz'huan.
and believe me, mutha-b!tches,
my secret recipe of cakey freshness is totally F*ng sz'huan.
you like it.
***********
it's the eleventh.
that's something.
it's sunday.
that's another thing.
it's all really happening.
that's the most important thing.
i've got some turbo-szechuan tattoos to do,
and some ultimate sz'huan cake to frost.
honest work counts for more.
that's word;
never quiet, never soft.....
