spranklin'

today, i'm going to tell you about some cookies.
i am.
i don't know if you're into that sort of thing,
so i'm warning you beforehand-
if you'd rather read about something else,
now is the time to abandon ship.
friends,
i got it.
the salty and sweet,
crunchy and soft,
chocolate magic and oatmeal sorcery,
right here in the Folk Life & Liberty Fortress!
neighbors,
check the teleport:

yeah!!!
i got some chocolate covered pretzel nibs-
small pieces of super-crawnchin' salted crackery cocoa awesomeness,
and i knew i needed to activate something with 'em.
i did.
and i did.
guys!
oatmeal cookies are already expert,
so with this new pretzie situation added to that?!
damn,
what would've been a perfect ten cookie gets instantly taken to eleven.
but, what'd i do to get that done?
ah, well,
i'll tell you-
-
one stick of vegan butterish,
half a cup of sugar, and half a cup of light brown sugar,
creamed,
with a quarter tsp salt and 2 tsps vanilla...
to that, i added 3/4 cup of applesauce,
2 cups of rolled oats, a cup and a little exxxtra of flour,
and a pack of those elite pretzel jauns!
so simple, but so flippin' GOOD.
12 minutes at 375F, and we'll call that two dozen doses of dopeness,
because that's the only kind of dispensary i run.
word.
was that it?
c'mon.
you can see there's MORE to the story.
creamchee' frosting, piped on top,
really makes a softie even softer,
and a knubbly bumpy cookie just a little smoother.....
and it also puts the glue down, so we can really enjoy a rainbow
of expert sprankles on top.
woooooooo!!!!
too much is the right amount.
and that's no joke.
a good cookie can make a bad day bearable,
and make a bearable day a good one....
so,
when it's a beautiful day,
and the jokes are flowing freely to a receptive client base/audience;
and crabtree is at the tattzap shack,
basking in all the attention of an exhausting post-doggy-daycare crowd;
and the temperature is perfect with no dumb wind;
and your starbucks was on the house TWICE????
holy sh!t, buddy-
that's when a cookie can truly be transcendent.
i'm just sayin',
yesterday was busy,
but it definitely wasn't bad,
and the cookies took all that good and made it great.
i hope i'm not putting a curse on today,
but real life is a true story being told truly,
and i doo-doo that honest-to-goodness-to-badness-type sh!t.
yup.
i'm knockin' on wood, and i'm knockin' the idea of would.
y'know?
i am not interested in would, i'm all about AM.
like,
i would do that,
but,
i AM doing this.
which one is happening?
exactly.
that's what's up.
i AM about to take this dirty dog on a trek.
he needs it but doesn't want it-
i don't need or want it,
but i do what needs doing, because i AM about that real life.
today is the day, duders.
just like every day.
busy, busy, busy;
never quiet, never soft....,.
