spelt and oats, chia and flax, all purpose wheaten jauns, and salt.
hmmm?
oh.
hey neighbors,
i was just listing the dry ingredients for yesterday's crepe experience.
my friends were here for one last breakfast time,
and we figured a proper send-off was in order.
i mean,
i can't let 'em leave on an empty stomach.
it's not like they want tattoos, so what else could i offer them?
we feasted, again,
in explicit shark-gluttonous feeding-frenzied ferocity,
and again, just like always, it was mutha-'ucking expert.
i doo-doo that breakfast & furious freaky sh!t
mmhmm.
check the teleport:
now that's what i call breakfast! hahaha.
what we have there is oven roasted skin-on red maine potato homeboyfries,
buttered up, onion'd out, smoked paprika'd to eleven,
salted, peppered, and GPOP'd like you read about (right now, in fact)
yup.
potatoes in the morning, with that fattie-boombattie full-fattened-up crisp to 'em.
we got baby kale in there, to freshen the big action up just a skootch,
and tofu scrambies made an appearance,
because, i mean, it's breakfast, man.
turmeric and onions, GPOP, salt, hot paprika, black peps,
and nootch, to flesh out the taste and texture of what it is we want.
duders,
breakfast is important,
and fancy breakfast is a rarity around here,
in this regular routine realm of Tea'N'Toast....
but friends in the Folk Life & Liberty Fortress are rarer still,
and we wanna make sure they get the flippin' nutrients they deserve.
that's why there's that salsa fresca poppin' off up on top.
uh-huh.
exxxtra color, exxtra flavor, and some spice to make it leap off of the plate.
cashew coconut lime sauce?
sure, why not?
a little tropical ZING to hook it up just a little bit more,
and then,
just because we know the rules-
guacamole made a surprise special guest appearance,
and we were all better off for it.
how much almond milk went into the crepe mix?
i honestly don't know,
because i didn't measure the flour, either.
that's the thing, kids-
chia and flax get thick,.
and oats soak up the wet like crazy,
so if we want to have the thin ones,
but we also want them hearty,
we have to add more milk.
and then,
after five minutes, we have to add a little more.
ha.
too much is the right amount,
and custom crepes was the right call for g'bye-bye breakfast.
-
good food is my bright spot.
and i think that's a good one to have.
really,
you get nourished a couple different ways,
and that's one of those value-added jauns that works out well for everybody.
or at least,
it works for me,
and i'm working it for all it's worth;
never quiet, never soft.....
