pairing.

coconut oatmeal waffles, guys.
yeah.
that's the kind of hottness we have for breakfast;
it's also specifically the hottness that real morning people crave.
coconut vanilla custom blended coffee,
AND coconut-vanilla-marigold irish-style black tea?
yeah.
that's thematic continuity,
and it's a compliment and complement for complete contentment.
i got all of that, and i'm not afraid to put it to use.
y'see what's happening?
all the forces of ferocious morning glory are overlapping
and intersecting,
and enveloping all angles and elements of my early rising reality,
for a stupendous and tremendous taste sensation that'll fuel a full day's worth
of big action activated busy business.
that's no joke.
check the teleport:

mmmmmmmmm.
fresh strawberries are so choice right now,
as everywhere in the area has 'em,
and they're so sweet, and so red, and so dope.
and naturally,
i didn't just stop at fruit.
no way.
i got the homespun sugared almond jauns!
buttered and toasted and drizzled with almond and vanilla extracts,
tosses just a tad in kapowpowdered sugar,
and cooled off for a little minute.
they're delicious, and that's a fact.
real maple syrup features prominently in there, also.
y'know why?
because i'm not an A*-hole that's why.
sweet concentrated tree sap is pure woodsly goodness, distilled,
and the essence of forest juice takes all forms of breakfast cake to eleven.
y'know what helped these out a whole bunch?
yup!
semi-sweet semi-melty chocolate-style chips!!
just a few, too sprankle the flavor around-
and not every bite, either,
so the enjoyment couldn't get inured,
which would in turn injure my satisfaction at providing so much hearty hottness.
i'm sayin'-
too much is the right amount,
but immunity to hyperbole is a terrible condition to become afflicted with....
so,
to combat the take-it-for-granteds,
i tossed 'em with abandon,
and let the treats fall where they may.
it worked,
and every bite had it's own unique merits.
*
i ground half a cup of unsweetened flakes of coconut into coarse flourishness,
and i added a bit more than half a cup of ground rolled oats as well-
that's in addition to the cup of flour,
generous salt,
teaspoon and a half of each- baking soda and kapowder-
plus half a stick of melted butter,
and a cup of soymilk for starters.....
yeah, starters.
the oats and c'nut are thirsty, and the butterish gets stiff when the batter rests,
so more is almost a guaranteed reality.
i ALSO put a punch of sugar in there, to crisp up the skins,
and last, but most important of all?
mmhmm.
vanilla.
if you don't get frisky with a runaway dripdrop of that vanilla,
your sh!t will assuredly be weak.
oh, and here's another thing-
i like to use sour cream in my waffz.
i do.
it gives 'em some fluff, and it helps the batter rise.
acids and agents, duders- that's science stuff.
a few tablespoons fo it, whisked throughout,
and you've got elite chemical reactions waiting to happen.
do it.
i promise it'll be worth it.
*
catching up is hard to do.
no joke.
today is my one day to do all i've got to-
but,
instead of choring boring drudgery,
i'll be doing something much much better.
that's right.
i've got a dirty roadtrip down to the realm of doo-doo buttery traffic
and claptrapping, to arrange a trade-off with some high-value targets.
word up:
harvest and maple are coming up for a while,
and we're gonna have family togetherness to the fullest effect that
the Folk Life & Liberty Fortress and my own battle-beastly capacity can contain,
and then we're gonna let all that conscious and collective goodness spill out
into all areas of our woodsly goodsly days together.
i am excited,
and i am grateful, and that's all there is to it;
never quiet, never soft.....
